So I went back and re-installed the original driver (meant for Win 7/8) from Hewlett Packard. ![]() For example, I didn't know at first that those official Realtek drivers would not support 24 bit recording even though my chip did offer 24 bit. Basically I had a problem where I was mixing over altered audio due to Realtek's added EQ - I wasn't hearing what I actually recorded - so I was constantly turning down the bass only to realize this was due to Realtek. This was a while ago now, so I can't remember the exact details because I had to uninstall Realtek and prevent Windows from reinstalling it and using it. I have also had problems where Realtek audio driver was interferring with Mixcraft. When using the Core Audio (WaveRT) driver, Mixcraft doesn't recognize my headphones at all. This is a nightmare when recording, because I'm constantly using/not using the headphones. Once I've deselected it and reselected it and saved, the sound then goes through the headphones. Now it doesn't, I have to go into preferences and choose the headphones - even though, when I go into settings, it's already auto selected headphones, it's just not using the headphones for output. Recently, I have had various audio problems.įirst, when I plug headphones in, Mixcraft used to automatically play sound through them. Has anyone else had problems with audio recently?
